Sufyaan once wrote to one of his Muslim brothers;
May Allaah, with His Mercy, protect both me and you from the Hellfire. Ameen.I advise both you and myself to fear Allaah. And I warn you not to turn to ignorance after you have learned, not to turn…
"Yes we can, I have a dream, by any means we will achieve
Victory is for he who never plans for defeat
For every man is not a man just because he claims to be
They love to talk like lions, but sacrifice like sheep
You’re invited to this future, where the past has past
And the future is a gift that you must hold and grasp
Where the possibilities are vast, and hope is your only pass
The ability to dream beyond what this world may seem

"When you face the qiblah, you should despair of this world, what it contains of creation and what others are occupied with. Empty your heart of every preoccupation which might distract you from Allah. See the immensity of Allah with your innermost being, and remember that you will stand before Him."

Salaam alykum,
SubhanAllah, today at Friday prayer, I sit down, and I look and there is my great friend, Nashiru Abdulai. I have not seen him in years, and masha Allah, he is an incredible person, and I was very fortunate to see him after so long.
I bring this up, not just…
Know Allah SubhanAllah wa Ta'ala →
Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu
I came across a link on a blog which then took me to youtube. It was a video called Intro to Allah’s Beautiful names. As I continued to watch this the brother raised some serious thought-provoking questions. How much did I really know? I can say I love Allah of course, but to what extend? Allah SubhanaAllah wa Ta’ala revealed to us 99 beautiful names. Yes I am sure that we can all name a few and we might also know some of their meanings.
But what does it really mean to LIVE with Allah’s name?
What does it mean to live with Allah’s name Ar-Rahman, The Most Merciful..
What does it mean to live with Allah’s name Ar-Raqeeb, The All-Watchful..
What does it mean to live with Allah’s name Al-Khaleq, The Creator…
What does it mean to live with Allah’s name Al Wakeel, The Ultimate Trustee..
What does it mean to truly LOVE Allah? And to truly KNOW Him.
Just to name a few. The videos are not everything there is to know cause verily Allah knows everything. But I think they will serve as good reminders and introductions of what could aid our journey to success. Insha Allah
SubhanAllah as I continued to watch and watch, the more I became aware and conscience of how little I knew and how much more I could gain. I am sending this out in the hope that atleast one person can benefit as much as I did. Allah willing.
The videos are usually in 3-parts and you might be rushing about and feel that you don’t have time. But I swear that if you watch atleast ONE NAME, you WILL benefit.
I make duaa that Allah SubhanAllah wa Ta’ala grants us the ability to really know Him and to truly truly LOVE Him. And if you feel that you benefited, make sure to pass them along.
Here are just a few links. If you click at the top you will find all the other videos that are posted by brother MajedMahmoud2.
Walaykum Salaam All. Remember the Ummah in your duaa’s :D
